LINDA ROGERS (Director)

Lynda joined the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame in the fall of 2020. She was born and raised just outside of Renfrew in Horton Township. She is the youngest of 11 children of Harold and Ethel Collins (Johnston) and the first cousin of Bob Johnston from the band The Countrymen that was inducted in to the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016. Lynda grew up going to wedding receptions and dances where The Countrymen played, listening to all the country greats and attending church where her mother played the piano.

In 1971 she met her husband Dan Paul Rogers (inducted in to the OVCMHOF in 2011) who she married in 1976 and they have one child, Ryan. Lynda is not a musician herself but after 44 years of marriage to Dan, Lynda has been around the country music industry on both sides of the business, fan and administrator. During these years, Lynda had the opportunity to meet many of the Ottawa Valley Greats and some of our major country icons such as Merle Haggard, John and June Cash, Gene Watson, Vern Gosdin and many more. When Lynda travelled with Dan she helped with production for his shows along with Ronnie Prophet and the Family Brown shows.

She recently retired after nearly 40 years working for the Provincial government and the County of Renfrew. Lynda first worked in the printing business before joining the provincial government in 1977. With both careers Lynda brings many skills to the table.
